Sculptural Ceramic Art

For me, clay is the perfect medium to capture the power and beauty that I’ve witnessed in the wild lands and adventures of my life, as well as the beauty I see every day. My drifts mirror the playful waveforms of water, snow and sand drifts, the sensual curves of the human form, and the hard edges of cliff and canyon.
Each drift is one of a kind, hand carved and shaped. From person to person, each drift is unique. You may see what others do not. Each drift tells one story in the daylight and another, catching candle-light beautifully, at night.
My work-shop sits high on a breezy ridgetop in the beautiful driftless region of southwestern Wisconsin.
